Nyasha has a voice of praise

MT Selinda born Nyasha Mahleko, is making a significant impact far beyond the beauty industry, using her powerful voice to spread a message of faith and transformation. Born 29 years ago, the song bird performs under the banner ‘Voice of Praise’ and has become a household name in Zimbabwe.

Driven by a deep devotion to worship and praising God, Nyasha began her formal musical journey in 2021 while in South Africa. Her sound is a vibrant blend of worship, heightened by her skilled use of the tambourine. To date, she has released a compelling catalogue of eight single tracks, including the well-received song “Zuva Radoka.”

Nyasha has refined her trade with producers Patrick Nyanzenza of Shalom Studios and Olin Anderson of Kunashe Studios. She has confirmed that a new project, titled “Tibatsirei,” is scheduled for release in December 2025.

Nyasha believes in transforming people. “Yes, people are being transformed by the gospel,” she admitted. She further gives advice to fellow artistes. “Stick to the word of God and also read the Bible. This has guided both my life and my career,” she said.

The artist took a moment to express her profound gratitude to those who have supported her vision. “To those who have supported me, I would like to thank you so much. I also extend a special appreciation to my manager, Simbarashe Madozvo for the great job he is doing as well as to my parents, pastors, brothers, sisters, and my growing fan base,” she added.

Fluent in Shona, English, and Ndebele, Nyasha Mahleko and the Voice of Praise are poised to carry their message of worship across cultural and linguistic boundaries, aiming to inspire and uplift a wide audience through the universal language of song.
