Chipinge storms leave trail of destruction in Ngaone, Mapote

Storms that struck Chipinge on the night of October 5, 2026 have left a trail of destruction in Ngaone, about 70km north of Chipinge town.
The storm tore through Toti Primary School, destroying school blocks and solar panels. It also ripped off the roof of a Grade 2 classroom at Chichichi Primary School.
On another note, the storms severely affected Mapote area in Ward 13 where it destroyed solar panels
The damage has left the two schools and the infrastructure in dire need of immediate assistance.
