In his opening remarks, Green Institute’s Executive Director, Blessing Matasva indicated that the initiative focused much on job creation.
On July 3, 2025, the Green Institute, a nonprofit organisation based in Chipinge, held a training workshop to equip young people with poultry farming skills. The event, held in Chipinge town, brought together youth from both rural and urban areas.
During his opening speech, Blessing Matasva, the Executive Director of Green Institute, explained that the program was designed to create job opportunities.
“Many young people struggle to find jobs. This training is here to change that by turning you from job seekers into business owners. Each of you will receive support to start your own poultry project. Our hope is that you grow your businesses and even create jobs for others in the future,” he said.
The workshop was led by Dr. John Mwandifura, Chipinge’s District Livestock Specialist, who shared practical knowledge on poultry production.
