Headman Dumisayi applauds Skills Amplification Programme

Headman Dumisayi, under Chief Musikavanhu in Chipinge, has praised the Skills Amplification Programme (SAP) for bringing professional film training to his community.

He spoke during a certificate ceremony held at his shopping centre on 14 December 2025, where ten local youths were recognised for completing a television and film course and producing a short movie titled Mphungura 1.

“We are happy that you have acquired skills at this stage of your life. We never thought that film production could be brought to Dumisayi as we have now seen. I am very happy with the Skills Amplification Programme and hope it shall benefit more youth and create employment for them,” the Headman told the graduates.

The intensive training was conducted from 11 to 14 December 2025 through a collaboration between SAP, Chimanimani-based Inclusive Global Media (IGM), and Chipinge’s Vivid Arts Initiative (VAI). The participants applied their new skills immediately by creating Mphungura 1 during the course.

SAP managed the overall project implementation. IGM provided the technical filming expertise, while VAI led the acting workshops, equipping the young people with practical, marketable skills in the creative arts.
