PELUM Zimbabwe’s National Seed Fair to nurture the future

Zimbabweans are invited to celebrate their traditional farming heritage and food culture at the 13th National Seed Fair which shall be held on September 19, 2025 as part of a two-day Good Food and Seed Festival that shall take place at the Harare Botanical Gardens.

The event, themed “Nurturing Our Future, Reviving Our Heritage,” promises to be a vibrant celebration of the country’s rich farming traditions.

The fair shall showcase a variety of activities, including seed displays, traditional food exhibitions, cooking demonstrations, and dialogues on organic farming and seed preservation. Visitors can also look forward to live music, dance performances, and a kids’ corner with hands-on food learning activities.

According to PELUM Zimbabwe, the event aims at promoting food and seed sovereignty, as well as healthy eating habits among Zimbabweans. It is a platform to showcase how Zimbabwe can a sustainable and food-secure future.

The event is free and open to everyone, making it an excellent opportunity for families to come together and learn about Zimbabwe’s food and seed heritage. The event shall start at 0800hrs and end at 1600hrs.
