Chipinge schoolboy earns Harare provincial call-up

BY SPORTS REPORTER

HARARE – A young rugby player from Chipinge Junior School (CJS) has been selected for the Harare Provincial Team, proving that hard work and talent can open doors to major opportunities.

The boy, named Tatenda, has become one of the few players from outside the capital to earn a place in the metropolitan side. His selection has been celebrated as a major achievement for both his school and the Manicaland region.

Chairperson of the Manicaland Rugby Board, Moss Kapumha, praised Tatenda’s achievement and said that securing a spot in a big city team is no small feat.

“I would like to congratulate Tatenda. It’s not easy to be selected into a provincial team, especially that of big cities like Harare. It’s a testimony of both talent and hard work. To wear provincial colours means you have discipline, resilience, leadership and heart. Harare did not just pick any player. They picked a warrior,” he said.

Tatenda’s rise has raised the rugby flag high for Chipinge Junior School. Supporters believe this could be the beginning of a long and exciting journey filled with even greater victories to come.
