PELUM evaluates HLLM programme

A three-day workshop designed to enhance the monitoring and evaluation of land regeneration project is now underway in Masvingo, organised by Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Zimbabwe.

The event, which began on Monday, October 27, and will conclude on Wednesday, October 29, focuses on improving practices within the Holistic Land and Livestock Management (HLLM) programme. The workshop has drawn 78 participants from fifteen organisations operating across multiple districts.

In her opening address, PELUM Programmes Officer, Farirai Jemwa, stated that the primary purpose of the gathering is to foster monitoring and learning. She explained that the agenda is focused on a collective review of progress.

“During this workshop, we shall review progress, share insights, and receive feedback from the baseline study which assessed the current state of biodiversity, soil fertility, water tables, and community resilience in the targeted areas,” she said.

Jemwa further outlined that the first day would be dominated by group sessions, where participants will share their insights on the current impact of the programme and what to focus on in 2026.
